Alma was born and reared in New Bern, N.C. She graduated from New Bern High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UNC-Chapel Hill.  While attending school, she met her husband Phil also known as “Dr. Phil” to his loyal K-Mart Pharmacy customers.  Lived in Greensboro for about a year and moved to Morehead City in 1980.

Alma has been a resident of Carteret Co. for the past 28 years.  After being a stay at home Mom for her children Lauren & Russell, she began her real estate career in 1990 with a national franchise.  In 1995, she joined the friendly sales staff of Cannon & Gruber.  Alma received her Graduate Realtor Institute designation in 2000 and obtained her Broker’s license in 2001.  Customers appreciate Alma’s no pressure approach.  Being a good listener has allowed her to provide personal attention in helping customers make good decisions.

During her spare time, Alma enjoys spending quality time with family, playing golf, trout fishing and attending or watching Carolina football & basketball games.
