Beaufort to Atlantic Beach
From Beaufort, North Carolina, to Atlantic Beach, the drive is just a 15-minute trip from your Atlantic Beach rental. You can get to and from the festival in a matter of minutes to make the most of your time away! To get from Beaufort to Atlantic Beach, you’ll first want to make your way to Turner Street, then turn left onto US-70/Beaufort Bypass Road. After 4.4 miles, take a sharp left turn onto Atlantic Beach Bridge, and continue for 0.9 miles until the road transitions into Atlantic Beach Causeway. After 0.7 miles, the road will then turn slightly right and become West Drive. Then, just turn right onto West Terminal Boulevard, and you’re in Beaufort!
Festival History
Since 2004, Beaufort Wine and Food has hosted the annual festival, distributing its earnings among a core group of local charities. Its first events were held in the streets of downtown Beaufort, and their success paved the way for the large-scale festival which is held today. Beaufort Wine and Food Weekend, Inc. is a registered non-profit; since its creation, it has donated over $740,000 to local charities! Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event, which was originally scheduled for April 21 to 25, will now take place during October. Since the event has been postponed, it’s unclear if any special COVID precautions will be in place during the festival. However, it’s likely that there will be limited entry into events, hand sanitizer stations throughout the event, and the requirement of masks and social distancing.
