Crystal Coast Brewing Company

The Crystal Coast Brewery was built and established as a family-owned business in 2017. As members of the North Carolina Brewers Guild, they are also certified by the Brewer’s Association to be noticed as an Independent Craft Brewery. At Crystal Coast, they focus on being local. All of their beers are crafted and brewed right in Eastern North Carolina.
Each beer is crafted with fruits, grains, and hops. They also gather their ingredients from local farms that make their products. Locally sourced ingredients for a locally sourced beer! When you come to the Crystal Coast Brewing Company, you can find beers like the Crystal Coast IPA, the Atlantic Beach Blonde, the Salty Windy Goose with Raspberry Lemonade, the Tuna Teaser, and the 252 Hazy Pale Ale.
The Crystal Coast Brewery has received countless awards over the years. Their Kill Devil Belgian Gold Ale won the Carolinas Championship of Beer, and their Mojito Cerveza won the North Carolina Brewer’s Cup’s gold medal. Fishtowne Brew House
If you plan on visiting the Beaufort Visitors Center, stop at the Fishtowne Brew House. The Brew House is located directly across the street from the Visitors Center and is the perfect place to spend the day.
In the 1940s, the building that is now the Brew House used to house the Beaufort ABC store. It was then the iconic Net House Restaurant and the Old Salt Restaurant before becoming the Fishtowne Brew House. After purchasing the building in 2017, the owners quickly started renovating it to become what is now the Brewhouse. Patrons who visit can sip a craft beer at their concrete bar or the tables next to their brewing area. Their TVs play above the bar while you can listen to the vinyl records they have on.
When you come into the Fishtown Brew House, you’ll find American-styled ales like their unique IPAs, Pale Ales, Blondes, milk stouts, and Belgian ales on tap. Their Belgian ales range from Belgian Wit to Belgian pale, Belgian tripel, and Belgian Saisons. Twelve taps feature their year-round favorites, the seasonal beers, and special guest taps from breweries in the Beaufort Area in Carteret County.
The brewery is located at 133 Turner Street, Beaufort, North Carolina. The brewery is open every Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m.- 10 p.m. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so that they can brew beer for the week.
Mill Whistle Brewing
Mill Whistle Brewing is the perfect place to visit in the heart of Beaufort. If you love small-batch breweries, then this is the place. This Atlantic Beach brewery is a one-barrel brewery, which means they get to focus on the quality of the beers they produce. Mill Whistle Brewing Company is built on a 100-year-old Safrit Lumber Mill site. The mill closed in the ’70s, and the lumber yard next door is still in business. The lumber yard blows its whistle every day when lunchtime calls, which inspired the brewery’s name. If you visit the brewery at noon, you’ll hear them blow the whistle for lunch!
Mill Brewing specializes in sour beer, and many customers rave about their Orange with Berries brew. The brewery also serves other beers, having taps from the Crystal Coast Brewing Company.
